What is TANINAL® and why it is used

TANINAL® is a traditionally applied medical product, whose efficiency is based exclusively upon long-standing use and experience. TANINAL® contains combination of tannins - tannic acid (tannin) and protein - albumin. Thanks to this combination, the drug does not strongly irritate stomach mucosa. The preparation releases tannins in the small intestine under the influence of digestive enzyme of pancreatin. The released tannin demonstrates styptic and bacteriostatic effects, acts also antidiarrheally creating poorly soluble complexes with bacterial toxins. Apart from that, it inhibits small bleeding caused by damage to intestinal mucosa capillaries.

TANINAL® is traditionally applied in diarrheas and in case of food poisoning.

TANINAL® is produced in the form of round tablets of beige to brown color.
