  Agni casti fructus extractum siccum - 45 mg
  (DER 7-13:1, ethanol 60 % m/m, native extract 10 %, glucose 90 % )
• Auxiliary substances :
  lactose, potato starch, powidon, magnesium stearate

What is Castagnus^® and why it is used

Castagnus^® tablets decrease prolactin level secreted by pituitary gland through stimulation of dopaminergic receptors, thus resulting in withdrawal of the symptoms caused by hyperprolactinemia: premenstrual tension syndrome and menstrual cycle disorders.

Indications for application:

• disorders of menstrual cycle (menstruation itself and menstrual cycle caused by temporary or permanent yellow body insufficiency, demonstrated in excessive bleeding or too frequent additional bleeding during the cycle)
• premenstrual tension syndrome (this means complaints appearing shortly before menstruation itself and manifested by: pain and swelling of breasts (mastodynia), emotional imbalance, migraine type headaches, swelling of face, hands and feet).

Before you apply Castagnus^®

Do not use Castagnus^® in case of hypersensitivity to any of its components, do not use during pregnancy and breast feeding.

Do not use the drug during pregnancy and breast feeding.

Driving of vehicles and operation of moving mechanisms

The drug is considered safe, it does not impair psychophysical aptitude, the ability to drive vehicles and operate moving mechanisms.

Use of other drugs

It is necessary to inform a physician about all the recently taken drugs, even those sold without prescription.

Simultaneous application of the drugs containing progesterone or gestagens (e.g. oral contraceptives) may increase the drug's effects.

How to apply Castagnus^®

Adult women weighing up to 60 kg, 1 tablet orally; women weighing over 60 kg 2 tablets, in the morning for 90 days.

Possible undesired effects

Gastro-intestinal disorders and allergic skin reaction may occur during treatment with Castagnus^®.

Storage of Castagnus^®

Store at the temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Store the drug out of reach and sight of children. 
Do not use the drug after expiry date stated on the package.
