  • Auxiliary substances: lactose, potato starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, powidon, AdvantiaTM Performance 185987HA49 (copolymer of metacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate, triethyl citrate, titanium dioxide - E 171, silicon dioxide, iron oxides : yellow, black and red - E 172, talc).

What is UVEREX® and why it is used

Uverex® is a preparation traditionally used in treatment of mild infections of urinary system, whose efficiency is based exclusively on long period of application and experience.

Before you apply UVEREX®

The preparation of UVEREX® should not be applied in case of any kidney disease or hypersensitivity to any of the drug's components.

Observe special care while administering the drug, since the product is intended for application only in case of mild infections of urinary tract, without complications, when use of antibiotics is not necessary.

The preparation may cause greenish-brown color of urine. Application of the preparation cannot substitute antibiotic therapy.

It is assumed that the drug effects intensify when urine reaction is basic. For this reason, a diet rich in vegetables, fruit, fruit juices and mineral waters is recommended during the preparation application and limitation of high-protein products, acidifying urine: meat, fish and cheese.

Application of UVEREX® in children

It is not recommended to apply in children younger than 12 years of age.

Pregnancy

It is not recommended to apply the preparation in pregnant women.

Breast feeding

It is not recommended to apply the preparation in breast feeding women.

Driving of vehicles and operation of moving mechanisms

UVEREX® has no influence on the ability to drive vehicles and operate moving mechanisms.

Use of other drugs

Since the assumed effects of the drug take place mainly in alkaline environment, it is recommended to avoid simultaneous application of urine acidifying agents (e.g. ammonia chloride), because this reduces the drug efficiency.

It is necessary to inform a physician about all the recently taken drugs, even those sold without prescription.

How to apply UVEREX®

Orally: adults and children over 12 years of age - 4 tablets 4 times a day on the first day, next, 4 tablets 3 times a day. Apply for 5-6 days.

When, after 5-6 days an improvement is seen, it is necessary to continue treatment until the symptoms withdraw completely, however, not longer than 2 weeks. Patients during treatment should drink large amounts of liquids.

A diet rich in vegetables, fruit, fruit juices and mineral waters is recommended and limitation of high-protein products, acidifying urine: meat, fish and cheese.

In case of taking higher than recommended dose of UVEREX®

So far, no overdose symptoms have been observed in case of application of the recommended doses of the preparation of Uverex®.

In case of skipping a dose of the drug

Do not apply a double dose in order to supplement the omitted one.

Possible undesired effects

As every drug, UVEREX® may cause undesired effects. So far, however, no undesired effects have been found. In case of the active substance - extract of common bearberry leaves - stomach irritation, nausea and vomiting have been reported, however the product of Uverex® has a form of enteric tablets and for this reason, it is thought that the risk of undesired effects is minimal. In case of undesired effects, it is necessary to inform a physician about them.

Storage of UVEREX®

Store at the temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Store the drug out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use the drug after expiry date stated on the package.
